The Coen Brothers Set To Write Screeplay For Movie About Silk Road

Joel and Ethan Coen are known for writing and directing a number of critically-acclaimed films, such as No Country for Old Men and The Big Lebowski, but also for just working on some good screenplays. Twentieth Century Fox has brought on the duo to write the screenplay for The Dark Web, a film about Ross William Ulbricht, the man convicted of running the illegal, online drug marketplace The Silk Road. Before it was shut down by the FBI in 2013, this first version of the Silk Road was run by Ulbricht under the name “Dread Pirate Roberts,” who often wrote libertarian rants under the moniker on the site and raked in $80 million.
