Oil to fry
2 Tbsp cornmeal
1½ Tbsp flour
2 Tbsp milk
1 tsp sugar
Hot dog, cut and sliced into a ½-inch piece
1 Tbsp cornstarch
Mustard, to serve
Mix cornmeal, flour, sugar and milk, reserving a bit of the flour.
Put hot dog on the end of toothpick and dip first in cornstarch and then in batter.
Fry in oil until golden brown. Serve with mustard.
